MISUSE OF FISHING BAITS
The club does not wish to impose bait bans but will if members abuse what is considered to be normal usage of them. Sliced White Bread and Sweetcorn is extensively used at this time of the year that unfortunately falls into this category. We already have evidence of both being misused so members in future must not throw large quantities in to attract fish or even after the session dump their leftovers into the pools.
Members are asked to consider how they would feel about arriving at a fishery only to find slices of bread floating and decomposing everywhere with the underwater view of peg they wanted to fish covered in sweetcorn.
Decomposing baits/food of any kind attracts unwanted vermin and other pest whilst also causing pollution weed and algae.
I AM SURE MOST MEMBERS WOULD AGREE THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THEY WOULD WISH TO SEE SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT DO IT
In the event any bait is misused the clubs officers will take whatever action necessary that could
include a total ban on its use.
