Stan Harrison : Secretary + President + Club Founder.
Stan is secretary of the South Manchester Angling Club ''The Original'' who also just happens to be the club original founder from some 45 plus years ago. He is now also club President following the sad death of Noel Lees our previous long standing one. Stan is a past multiple club match fishing champion and still holds the heaviest match weight caught on a club match by a member. The Pleasure section of the club guided by Stan with Andy Wemyss ''Bruce'' to his friends will for the foreseeable future concentrate all their efforts on encouraging those anglers who prefer fishing natural fisheries to join us, this to continue the development of the clubs fishery assets for all of our members future enjoyment. Stan worked in IT for most of his working life utilising his considerable knowledge to develop and design the clubs website. He is now also as one would expect our Webmaster controlling the content with him continually updating and posting articles including photo's of fish caught by members. The website he created many years ago has benefited the club by attracting many new members to the club after reading the interesting content that can be found on it.

Andy Wemyss: Chairman & Honarary Member.
Andy, or “Bruce” to his friends, previously held the position for many years and we are pleased to say voted in again as Chairman of the new Pleasure section. Andy is predominantly a river and specimen Chub angler with him even moving to Herefordshire to be next to the river he loves best the Wye. Andy is very practically minded when it comes to arranging and planning work required on work parties, this the result of him being a self employed Chippy who is happy making anything out of wood, fitting a kitchen, bathroom and just about any other property building work both inside and outside. Andy is a font of knowledge when it comes to club history and is happy having a chat about it to those interested.
Neil Bowden: Club Treasurer.
Neil agreed at the clubs recent 2020 AGM to become the Clubs Treasurer after the unfortunate resignation of Mike Harrison who had help the position for many years. Neil was already a valued member of the committee after previously being asked by our chairman to help bolster numbers. Obviously the committee and officers of the club are pleased with his decision to be our new Treasurer who will welcome his input and help in the running of the club. Neil is fairly new to the club but has since joining made his presence known at work parties offering and doing more than expected of him. We are sure he will be an assett to the club so we trust members will support and help him if required.
