Stan Harrison : Club Founder + Secretary + Vice President.
Stan was voted in as secretary to run the ''The Original'' South Manchester Angling Club who just happens to be the club founder some 45 years ago and now Vice President and current Secretary for the second time. Stan is a past multiple club champion and still holds the heaviest match weight caught on a natural fishery. The Pleasure section guided by Stan and several other senior officers will for the foreseeable future concentrate their efforts on encouraging those anglers who prefer fishing natural fisheries to join us to further develop the clubs fishery assets for all of our members future enjoyment.

Andy Wemyss: Chairman & Honarary Member.
Andy, or “Bruce” to his friends, previously held the position for many years and we are pleased to say has been voted in again as Chairman of the new Pleasure section. Andy is predominantly a river and specimen angler, and is very practically – minded when it comes to work parties. He is also self employed and happy making anything out of wood, fitting a kitchen, bathroom and just about any other property building work both inside and outside. Andy is a font of knowledge when it comes to the clubs history and is happy having a chat about it to those interested.
Mike Harrison: Treasurer & Honarary Member.
Mike was voted in at the December 2010 GM and has been the club Treasurer and active club member since joining. Mike is usually the first to put his chest waders on and have water lapping around the top or carrying out work others would more often than not ignore. On top of this, he is the club Treasurer who keeps a close eye on the clubs finances and is a keen official who likes to involve himself in everything that is happening.
Noel Lees: President & Honarary Member.
Noel has been president and a member for longer than most hence why he has retained and held the position from when the club was just starting out. Joining with his dad who was also a respected member both have over the years put lots of there time and energy into making the club what it is today. Although he is not able to get out very much these days he is always there for the club and when asked always willing to offer his unbiased advice when required.
Jimmy Derbyshire: Match Secretary & Honarary Member.
Jimmy is a member who has been around in the club for longer than most and loves the competitive side of fishing hence why he did not hesitate when asked to take on this position. In addition he does like to be involved in the running of the club and would have liked to have done more over the years had it not been for his demanding full time job at MUFC who he recently retired from. His knowledge of match fishing and of the venues will be useful when we hopefully restart club competitions in the future.
