Fryers A & B Moss Lane, Knutsford, Cheshire:
From A556 turn left at Mere lights and continue towards Knutsford on the A50. Just after Fryers Roses turn right into Green Lane, then after approx 100yrds turn right into Moss Lane. The two pools making up this complex are on the right hand side opposite Crookalls.
Fryers A - the smaller of the two contains a very good head of coarse fish including carp to 15-18lb, tench 3lb, bream 4lb including lots of roach & perch of varying sizes.
Fryers B - the elongated pool nearest the corner cottage. Following an EA survey we were advised this pool will not presently support fish life because of the build up of oak leaf silt. This is destroying all the nutrients, hence the reason for this advice. We do intend at some time in the future to look to see whether we can find a cost effective solution to remove this so it can be made into a viable fishery again.
When parking in what is a very narrow lane members should not leave vehicles protruding into the lane that is used by tractors and other large farming equipment. The two gates adjacent to our fisheries in this lane must also not be blocked by members parking across them, failure to observe this rule could result in cancelation of membership.
A SUITABLE PHOTOGRAPH WILL BE ADDED AT A LATER DATE.
