This is the latest club acquisition that after many work parties to clear overgrown banks remove fallen trees and some old rotted platforms opened as planned on the 16th June 2014. Further work is required to finish the parking area and improve the access and exit onto what is a dangerous 60mph stretch of road.
The fishery is already producing many surprises with a good number of specimen fish being caught backed up with many quality mixed coarse fish. The pool has been controlled in the past by a number of clubs and stocked but has not been fished for many years making it all the more interesting for members. Obviously it will take some time to find out what is holds in the way of stock and to assist us in this members who can access our website are asked to complete a catch return form that is automatically sent to the secretary. There is also some forms in the catch return box (Now in place on the rear of newly installed Notice Board) similar to the one at Green Lane containing forms to complete. This is important for the club and we cannot stress how much if like us you are interested in knowing what is swimming in the pool so we can if required address any shortfall.
Members planning to visit this water for the first time should contact the secretary for the code to open the combination lock that is now fitted to the gate.
A SUITABLE PHOTOGRAPH OF THE POOL WILL BE ADDED IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
Directions: Directions: From the A50 in Knutsford turn left into Brook Street passing the railway station then continue onto the A537 Chelford Road for approximately 4 miles through the Seven Sisters Lane crossing and continueing on for about a mile passing on the right School Lane & Hall Lane then looking to the left for ''New Barn Farm & Livery'' the gated car park entrance for the pool is approximately 75 yrds passed on the left . The car park entrance is difficult to see so members are advised to put their left indicator on when passing the Farm/Livery entrance and to slow right down to make the left turn into the entrance gate. The gate is set back from the road to allow one car at a time to stop whilst the gate is opened which ''MUST'' be closed immediately after entering and when exiting the car park. Drivers are advised to take extra care when entering and leaving the car park because of speeding vehicles and a blind spot to the right hand side.
